SEPTEMBER PRAYER POINTS

The next day of prayer and fasting in our Isaiah 62 Global Prayer Campaign will be on Wednesday, 3 September 2014. Please join us!

1. Pray for the persecuted Christian communities of the Middle East and other Muslim-dominated lands. Pray in particular for the Christians in Iraq and Syria suffering under the brutality of the ISIS terrorist militia, that they might be delivered safely from all harm and will soon be able to return to their homes in peace. And pray that the testimony of Jesus would be strong in the lives of those Christians now suffering under Muslim persecution.

2. Pray that Western leaders will take up their responsibility to stand up against the evil forces represented by such violent groups as ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram and al-Shabaab. Pray that they will align with and bolster those elements in the Middle East who truly seek democratic feedoms, and that the world will intervene to stop the slaughter and uprooting of ancient Christian communities in the region. And pray that the world will be free to have an honest evaluation of Islam.

3. Pray that Israel would continue to stand strong against the jihadist forces like Hamas and Hizbullah, which seek her destruction on their way to world domination. Pray that Hamas in Gaza will not be allowed to rearm itself in the wake of the recent fighting.

4. Pray that world leaders and the international media would come to realise and appreciate that Israel has been on the front-lines of the battle against radical Islam on behalf of the West for decades now. Pray that they would come to understand that this vile Islamist spirit seeks to target Christians and Jews alike, and that the world needs to stand with Israel as it confronts this threat daily.

5. Pray that the Church would arise to her God-given task in this hour to intercede for Christians in the Middle East and for Israel. Let us resist the devil and his diabolical plans for Israel and the area’s Christians.

Thank you for your prayers!

September 25, 2014

Today is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. In Hebrew it means "The Head of the Year" and marks the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve. As the shofar is blown announcing the beginning of this new year, please join with me in praying for a sweet, peace-filled year for Israel and the global Jewish communities.

Pray their gatherings together with family and friends be a time of deep spiritual reflection and renewal of their relationship with God. Rosh Hashanah (September 25–26) is the first of the High Holy Days, followed by Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement, October 4), Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles, October 9–15), Shmini Atzeret (Eighth Day of Assembly, October 16), and Simchat Torah (Day of Celebrating the Torah, October 17). Pray for Israel during these High Holy Days for a hedge of protection over air, land, sea, underground, and over all Jewish communities throughout the globe. Pray for the Israeli leadership and those in authority that they would discern and be prepared in the event of any provocations or imminent danger. On their behalf, stand in the gap and pray Psalms 121–122, 91 and Isaiah 54:17. May Israel and the Jewish people find these days as a time of hope, renewal, and peace.

God bless you for all your faithful prayers and support for Israel.

Love and blessing,

ISAIAH 62 PRAYER INITIATIVE

ViestiKirjoittaja Annukka » 01.10.2014 08:55

ISAIAH 62 PRAYER INITIATIVE
Isaiah 62

The next global day of prayer and fasting in our Isaiah 62 Prayer Campaign will be on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014.

This upcoming Feast of Tabernacles, we again will welcome thousands of pilgrims from around the world to Jerusalem. They will come to meet with God and to worship Him here with us in this great city from 10-15 October.
The prophet Zechariah declares that such days would come when the nations once more will make pilgrimage to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16ff). It will be a time when the nations meet with God, bring their supplications to Him, and return with the Word of God from Zion freshly planted on their hearts. Those taking part in the Feast in Jerusalem will bring the blessing of rain upon their nations.

Already, when King Solomon dedicated the Temple during the Feast of Tabernacles, he prayed that God would hear the prayers of the foreigner when they come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord (II Chronicles 6:32-33), so “that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You…” God answered Solomon’s prayer by promising that Jerusalem would be a place where He would always be open to hear their supplications. Yes, He even was willing to “heal their land” (II Chronicles 7:14). The Temple in Jerusalem was consequently called a “house of prayer for all peoples” (Isaiah 56:7). Everyone who wanted to seek God could find Him here.

There is a unique calling upon the city of Jerusalem. God has decided to place a special blessing on Jerusalem different from all other cities on earth. The days will come when this city will become a global center of blessing. People will turn their swords into ploughshares and war will be learned no more. And the Word of the Lord will go forth from Jerusalem impacting peoples, tribes, tongues and nations.

This month of October, I want to ask you for a very selfless prayer. You might not be among those able to come to Jerusalem for this year’s Feast of Tabernacles, but I want to ask you to pray for all those people where. Ever since the ICEJ was birthed at that first public Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles some 35 years ago, our Sukkot gathering has grown until today to include a number of special events that draw the nations each year for this unique biblical festival.

I trust that as you pray for all those who made pilgrimage to Jerusalem for the Feast, the Lord will make this year a feast of breakthroughs for you as well and that the Lord will bless you and your family in like measure as those of us in Jerusalem.

Thank you for standing with us!

Yours in Christ,

Dr. Juergen Buehler

OCTOBER PRAYER POINTS

Please pray for this year’s Feast as follows.

1. Pray that this year’s Feast will leave a powerful blessing and testimony in Jerusalem. Pray that the unmistakable presence of the Lord will characterize every event, whether indoors or outdoors.

Pray according to Isaiah 40:1-2 and Deuteronomy 32:21.

2. Pray that every single pilgrim who comes to the Feast of Tabernacles will truly meet with God while here. Pray that God would speak in a fresh way into their lives. Pray that each participant will renew their relationship with Jesus, the sick will be healed, and broken relationships will be restored.

Pray according to II Chronicles 7:14-15.

3. Among the participants we expect this year are many church leaders and even government officials. We expect a delegation of some ten cabinet ministers from African nations and some 20 parliamentarians from other nations around the world. Pray that God would meet with them and give them favour to bring healing to their nations. Pray that God would raise them up to be prophetic voices for righteousness and justice in their nations. Pray that God would use them to align their nation closer to Israel.

Pray according to Proverbs 20:28 and I Timothy 2:1-4.

4. Pray for the pastors and heads of denominations who will attend the Feast, that God would place a fresh anointing and vision into their lives and that they would bring back a heart for Israel and the Jewish people into their constituencies. Pray that God would speak to them prophetically and that He would give them words to impact their home churches, cities and even nations for Him. Pray that God would use them to bring revival to their communities.

Pray according to I Timothy 4:14-15 and Colossians 4:2-4.

5. Please pray for the ministers who will share the Word of God during this Feast. Pray that a powerful unction of the Holy Spirit might rest upon them to give us all a “word in due season”.

Pray according to Ephesians 6:19 and Colossians 4:2-4.

6. Pray that it will be a season when resources will be released to bless Israel like never before. Pray that churches will hear from God to make a commitment to bless Israel on a regular basis.

Pray according to Romans 15:27ff and I Corinthians 16:1-4.

7. Pray that the numbers of Feast pilgrims will increase in the years ahead. Pray that the new Jerusalem Pais Arena will be packed to capacity with worshippers from around the world and that they will leave a powerful testimony of blessing in Jerusalem.

Pray according to Zechariah 8:20-22 and Zechariah 14:16-19.

Thank you for your prayers!

ISAIAH 62 PRAYER INITIATIVE

ISAIAH 62 PRAYER INITIATIVE

Isaiah 62

The next day of prayer and fasting in our Isaiah 62 Global Prayer Campaign will be on Wednesday, 5 November 2014. Please join us!

As you pray, there are three important areas of biblical truth that we need to familiarise ourselves with. These truths should not only be grasped as theological concepts, but they need to become part of our mind-set, driving decisions in our lives and, of course, they need to be at the foundation of our prayers.
First, we need to know our God. The more we understand the greatness and majesty of God, the more faith will rise in our hearts. The God we serve is the omnipotent Creator God who spoke and the heavens and earth came into existence. He can speak a word today and any situation will turn around. He is the One who has “all power in heaven and on earth”. He has all power to forgive sins, restore relationships, heal sicknesses, and drive away any power of darkness. That is why heaven is full of praise and worship for the Almighty God. “And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!” (Revelation 19:6)
Why not stop right here and praise the Almighty God for His power, might and wisdom. Declare His Lordship over every area of your life and especially those in which you need Him. There is nothing impossible for Him.
Secondly, we need to know our calling. The God we serve is not only the Almighty Creator, but He also greatly enjoys fellowship with His saints. Have you ever wondered why, out of the billions of people in this world, He called you? The answer is simple. Because it pleased Him! In Ephesians 1:5, the Apostle Paul writes, “having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will…”
So God desires our fellowship and cooperation. In the Garden of Eden, He would come and talk to Adam and Eve each day in the coolness of the evening. And God not only desires our fellowship, He wants to share His authority, governance and creativeness with His people.
Jesus made one of the most powerful declarations during his life on earth when he said: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Right afterwards, he said to his disciples: “Now you go! Disciple nations! Proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom, heal the sick, cast out demons, and nothing can harm you” (Matthew 28:18ff, Mark 16:15ff).
Jesus seeks our engagement in His kingdom. As you pray today, have the boldness of a David, a Gideon or a Paul. Know that if God is with us nobody can be against us! Pray with faith and expectation. Stop right here and ask the Lord to increase your faith. Ask for forgiveness when you limited Him by doubt or unbelief. Declare that with God you can do the impossible.
Finally, we need to know the will of God. Praying against the will of God is wasting our time. The good news, however, is that the will of God has been revealed to us in His word. Through it we know that He desires “all men to be saved” (1 Timothy 2:4); He came to destroy the “works of the devil” (1 John 3:8); and He wants His light to shine even in the darkest places (Isaiah 60:1-2). Never give up hope for your family, church, city or nation. God is looking for a man or woman of faith who is willing to stand in the gap.
The Lord God desires the restoration of Israel (Zechariah 8:1ff); He intends to rebuild the ancient ruins (Ezekiel 36:33); He declares His intent to bring the Jews back from the four corners of the earth (Isaiah 11:12); and He wants to see all of Israel be immersed in the spirit of His new covenant (Jeremiah 31:31).
God also has a plan for the Arabs living in and around Israel. Some of the most beautiful promises in the Bible are given to them. He wants them to be saved by His blood and live in peace and cooperation with Israel (Isaiah 19).
Much could be added to this, but today let us come with boldness before the throne of Grace and declare His Kingship over every situation in our lives that needs resolution. Let us declare as Jesus taught us: “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
In Christ,

Dr. Juergen Buehler

NOVEMBER PRAYER POINTS

1. Pray for the security situation in Israel
Many people speak about Israel being on the verge of a new intifada, as her adversaries stoke violence over their rival claims to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
► Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)

2. Pray for Israeli Arab Christians and Palestinian Christians
More and more Israeli Arabs are making a deliberate decision to join the Israeli army. They consider Israel as their nation, and appreciate that it is the only true democracy in the Middle East, making it worthwhile to defend. A courageous Galilee priest, Father Gabriel Naddaf, is leading a unique effort to better integrate young Christian Arabs into Israeli society.
► Pray for the efforts of Father Naddaf.
► Pray that more and more Arab churches will set an example to stand solidly with Israel.
► Pray for Israel to have the wisdom to support them in the way they need it in order to protect them from religious (Islamic and nationalistic) tensions.

3. Pray for the relationship of the Church to Israel
► Pray for the Church in your country and specifically for your own church, that God will reveal to its leaders His heart and zeal for Israel.
► Ask God for divine appointments to open doors and hearts for a stronger connection with the Jewish people.
► Proclaim in faith a new season for the Church in your country with regards to Israel according to Zechariah 8:11ff where God declares a new season in His dealings with Israel.

Thank you for your prayers!
