Thank you for standing with us in prayer!

There is an incredible heavenly dynamic to prayer!
One of the most powerful descriptions of prayer can be found in the Book of Revelation. John, the seer, witnesses Jesus taking a scroll from His Father seated on the throne in heaven. As He is about to open the seven seals of that scroll, the fifth chapter of Revelation tells us: “And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” (Revelation 5:8)
Shortly after this, Jesus opens the scroll and thus set the purposes of God into motion.
In a similar manner, we read in chapter eight that as the seven angles move into position to blow the seven trumpets, the prayers of the saints are again offered to God: “… and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.” (Revelation 8:4)
What is so fascinating is that as God's eternal purposes are unfolding with regards to humanity (the seals and the trumpets), John sees that in heavenly places the prayers of the saints are playing a central role in these great events. Prayer changes and influences history!
Now I want to suggest to you that these praying saints of Revelation 5 and 8 have no idea what is taking place in the heavenlies. They have not held “the seven seals prayer meeting” and they are not calling themselves “the seven trumpet intercessors”. But they are ordinary Christians who have prayed for their families and their church. They have prayed for revival in their city and nation. And they have prayed for Israel.
As they have done so, things have happened in heaven and on earth and God’s purposes have been unleashed. This is why Paul says in the book of Ephesians that God has "raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”. (Ephesians 2:6)
Your prayers accomplish more than you realize. It is said that Mary, Queen of Scots, feared the prayers of John Knox more than all the armies of England. In our own ministry here in Jerusalem, we see new doors opening and we are experiencing a new season of blessing. I am fully convinced that it is because we are praying more than ever before among our staff and in our branches worldwide.
I want to encourage you to dedicate your life afresh to increased prayer. Start with twenty minutes a day. Pray for your family needs, your church, your city and nation, and pray for us. Pray for Israel and for Jerusalem.
The world needs our prayers more than everything else. Take your seat in the heavenly places and start praying!

Yours in Christ,

12th Annual European Prayer Summit

ViestiKirjoittaja Annukka » 30.01.2014 09:20

12th Annual European Prayer Summit
March 21st – 23rd, 2014

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon will be darkened and the stars no longer shine…
Then you will know that I, the Lord your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill.
(Joel 3: 14-17)

For more than ten years ECI has called together annual prayer summits in Brussels in order to pray for Israel, our own governments and the European institutions.

These weekends have proven, time and time again, to be pivotal times in seeking the Lord for wisdom and strategy and in standing in the gap for the nations.

We are currently entering a time which we believe could reshape the international system as we know it. It is not just the financial system which is crumbling, but our political institutions are also under threat from political populism on the one hand and global governance on the other hand. Paradoxically, both trends seem to have one thing in common: growing animosity towards Israel.

As the international community is making friends with Iran, the nations are turning against Israel. The peace talks are fragile and by the time we meet in March they may well be over, with Israel likely being blamed.

In Europe EU elections resulting in new EU leaders being appointed for the next five years are on the horizon. In the meantime, the EU is planning new measures to put pressure on Israel to give up more land and divide Jerusalem.

These ”earthly” signs of the Lord gathering the nations in the valley of decision are echoed by signs in the sky. Within the next two years, starting this Passover and culminating in the autumn of 2015 there will be the coming of four blood moons on the Jewish feasts.

This has occurred rarely in history and always at pivotal times. There have been blood moons on the first day of Passover and the first day of Succoth on consecutive years only seven times since 1 A.D. Three of these occurrences were connected to 1492, the expulsion of Jews from Spain, 1948, statehood of Israel and 1967, the liberation of Jerusalem.

Another important element to be taken into consideration: the jubilee years in the Lord’s own calendar. Jubilee years divide up time in 7 year jubilees and 50-year jubilees. The last two 50-year Jubilees are 1917 and 1967 both marked the liberation of Jerusalem. We are soon entering in to the 70th 50-year Jubilee year.

”Those who have ears hear what the Lord is saying to the Church.” This is the time to come together and pray for Israel and for our nations. Times of turmoil are also unique opportunities for nations to reposition themselves and align with God´s purposes for Israel. This is our prayer burden as we pray with the heart of Abraham for our nations to become “sheep nations.”

Please would you join us as we gather for the 12th Annual European Prayer Summit from 21-23 March in Hotel Silken, right across from the EU headquarters Berlaymont in Brussels.

Please note that we are planning a large Prayer and Worship service in Brussels on Friday evening which is open to everyone. This will be a night to celebrate the Lordship of Jesus Christ over the nations and pray specifically for Brussels, Belgium, Europe and Israel.

Prayer Requests

IHOP – Pray for spiritual protection for the International House of Prayer at Kansas City, and particularly for the leader Mike Bickle. Their ministry is a key leader for the Body of Messiah around the world, and they are obviously targets for bitter attacks from the evil one. As they have blessed so many, let us bless them in return.

Spain – Next week, Asher and Betty, together with Uziel and Marianna, will be teaching in a pastors' conference in Burgos. Pray for anointing and revelation, and for relationships of partnering for revival across the Spanish-speaking world.

Buildings – We are facing significant building needs in our Jerusalem congregation (Ahavat Yeshua), Tel Aviv (Tiferet Yeshua), and Yad Hashmonah (Messianic kibbutz). Pray for wisdom and provision, and the Lord's will to be done.

ICEJ: Isaiah 62

The next global day of prayer and fasting in our Isaiah 62 Prayer Campaign will be on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014.

During the month of March, the Jewish people will be marking the holiday of Purim. This is a special time to remember the incredible story of God's deliverance of the Jews from a plot to exterminate them in ancient Persia, as is recounted in the Book or Scroll of Esther.

Now there are many aspects of the Purim story which seem to be playing out around us again today. This can especially be seen in the growing movement to boycott Israel and delegitimize her right to exist. So as we lift up Israel in our Isaiah 62 Prayer Campaign this month, we want to be mindful of these similarities and allow them to inform and direct our intercession in this age-old battle to preserve and defend the Jewish people.

In the story of Esther, we see that:
1. The Jews were unfairly singled out for special condemnation and targeted for death. The evil Haman told the King that the Jews are "different" and he should not "let them remain" (Esther 3:8-9). The Persian Empire at the time was vast, with more than 100 provinces and many different peoples with their own beliefs, languages and customs. But the Jews were the only ones that faced this plan of discrimination and destruction.

2. Haman had his own motivations for striking out at the Jews, as he was an Agagite, which means he belonged to the Amalekite nation and thus was from Israel's most implacable enemy. Somehow, he was able to get the King and many others to agree with his hatred against the Jewish. The lesson is that anti-Semitism is a spirit that we either agree with or not, and the battle surrounding Israel and the Jewish people is at heart a spiritual battle.

3. In the end, the Jews were allowed to defend themselves against Haman's evil plot, and with many allies at their side they were able to prevail and celebrate a great deliverance.

Today, the boycott campaign is also trying to unfairly target the Jewish people, but through the 'collective Jew' - the state of Israel. There are many nations and peoples committing grave human rights violations and even atrocities against others in our day, yet the boycotters only want to single out Israel for condemnation and punishment. And while for the moment they are taking aim at Israeli companies in the 'settlements', their ultimate goal is to eliminate the Jewish state.

The worst agitators in the growing boycott movement are hardened anti-Semites and thus impossible to reason with. But they are somehow able to get otherwise normal people to agree with their spirit of hatred against the Jews. This is eerily similar to how Hitler and the Nazis convinced multitudes to blame the Jews for all their problems. It started with a boycott and ended in mass murder on an industrial scale. So at heart this is a spiritual battle, not an economic one, and we need to see it in such sobering terms.

Finally, in this battle Israel has to be reassured of its right to defend itself. And they need to know that they have millions of Christian allies around the world wanting to join in the struggle to defend them as well.

May the Lord anoint and direct our prayers as we stand with the Jewish people against the evil plots of our day.

In Christ our Lord,

David Parsons

• Israel's Economy - Pray that the Israeli economy would continue to grow and flourish in spite of the efforts of the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. Pray for the immediate target of the boycotters - the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria, that they would continue to have open markets to the world.

• Israel's Enemies - Pray that the boycotters would be frustrated and defeated in their attempts to isolate and de-legitimize Israel. Pray that their real motives and agendas would be publicly exposed as old fashioned anti-Semitism. Pray that others would not agree with the spirit of hatred against the Jewish people and state.

• Israel's Defense - Pray that Israel would continue to have the freedom and capabilities to defend itself in the military and economic fields. Pray for those engaged in the diplomatic and academic battle over Israel. And pray that more Christians in all corners of the world would boldly stand up at this critical hour to join in the defense of Israel.

Pastor John, Diana, Pastor Mac and I are calling for urgent prayer for the global Jewish communities, especially for those living in the Ukraine.

Just this week outside of a synagogue in Donetsk, Ukraine, ‘citizens of Jewish Nationality’ were handed a flyer requiring immediate registration or face deportation and confiscation of property. Read more here: www.nytimes.com/2014/04/18/world/europe ... .html?_r=0

The event has since been explained away as a political provocation or propaganda in the tense Ukrainian – Russian conflict. Regardless of its origin, this propaganda is reminiscent of Hitler’s similar call for the registration of all Jewish citizens prior to the Holocaust. It is frightening and concerns the Jewish community and those of us who love and support Israel and the Jewish people.

Please pray in agreement with us for the protection of the global Jewish communities, that no harm will come to them, but that they will follow the Lord’s leading and be drawn home to the safety of Israel.

As scripture says, He will gather them from the four corners of the earth and bring them back to Israel. Psalm 107: 2-3, Isaiah 11:11-2, Isaiah 43:5-6 and 21.

There is a widespread resurgence of anti-Semitic hate...we must stand with Israel and the Jewish people like never before! We are asking you, in these serious times to be counted among us with ‘boots on the ground and taking authority in the heavenlies at the Washington DC National Prayer Conference and Luncheon, July 20, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Our conference will take place at the Renaissance Hotel located across from the Washington Convention Center. Dr. Billye Brim, Cheryl Morrison, Diana Hagee, and I will be teaching and praying in the Spirit throughout the day, taking a stand in advance of the crucial Summit events and our meetings with our Senators and Congressional representatives.

May the Lord richly bless you and your family on this Resurrection Sunday.

Thank you for your love and prayers for Israel and the Jewish people around the globe.

Love and Blessings,

ICEJ urges prayers, action to return kidnapped Israeli teens

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is calling for urgent prayer and action for the safe return of the three Israeli teenagers abducted by Hamas terrorists late last week.

The ICEJ is urging Christians around the world to pray for the release of the three young men and their safe return to their homes and families. As part of our Isaiah 62 Global Prayer Campaign, the Christian Embassy calls on its international constituency to dedicate Wednesday, 18 June 2014 as a time for special prayer and intercession on behalf of these Israeli students. Many in Israel are devoting themselves to prayer for their homecoming and we want to join this effort of sincere and sustained prayers before the Lord God to intervene, prevent their harm, and see them safely home.

In addition, the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is calling on all world leaders of goodwill to press for the safe return of these young men, including pressure on Palestinian leaders to cooperate fully in the on-going efforts to locate the abducted teens, identify their captors and secure their release.

prayer and fasting in our Isaiah 62 Prayer Campaign

ViestiKirjoittaja Annukka » 01.07.2014 08:17

The next global day of prayer and fasting in our Isaiah 62 Prayer Campaign will be on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014.

After more than two weeks of an intensive, desperate search that held the attention of the entire nation of Israel, IDF troops finally located the bodies of the three Jewish teenagers kidnapped by Hamas terrorists in mid-June. Many in Israel and around the world were earnestly praying for their safe return, but it turned out that the young men were murdered by their abductors not long after they were seized while on their way home from school at night.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem joins in mourning the loss of these three young yeshiva students: Gil-Ad Shaer (16 years old), Eyal Yifrah (19), and Naftali Fraenkel (16).

We are urging all our following to unite with us in prayer for the families of these teens and for the people of Israel as they bear the sorrow of this moment. The July prayer focus of our Isaiah 62 Global Prayer Campaign also will be centered on the days and important decisions ahead as the nation and its leaders deal with the aftermath of this tragedy.

The students disappeared from a hitchhiking post south of Jerusalem on 12 June, and a burned out car found the next morning outside Hebron led Israeli forces to concentrate their search efforts in and around that ancient city. The search involved an intense, round-the-clock sweep of through Palestinian towns and villages, and even wells and caves in the surrounding hillsides. This disrupted the lives of many of the area’s residents, and some began charging Israel with imposing “collective punishment” on the Palestinian population and committing “war crimes” against them.

Yet this was a just search-and-rescue effort that any freedom-loving country would have engaged in to find and return abducted teens. And there are strong precedents in the Bible that encourage us to see this effort as just and upright.

The Patriarch Abraham, for instance, only picked up the sword once in his life. But he did so in order to recover his nephew Lot and his family after they had been abducted in the battle of the kings, as described in Genesis 14. What is most interesting is that when Abraham completed his mission and as returning home, that is the very moment the extraordinary figure Melchizedek came out to bless him, saying:

“Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” (Genesis 14:19-20)

Melchizedek, presented in the Bible as a divinely-appointed priestly king, could have gone to meet Abraham at any time, but he chose to do it at this particular moment and even pronounced great blessing over him. So this biblical story depicts efforts to rescue captives as a just mission.

We see this again in the campaign by David to rescue and recover all the people and possessions carted away by the Amalekites, as recounted in 1 Samuel 30. When the Amalekites plundered and burned Ziklag, it stirred a rebellion against David within his own camp. But he “strengthened himself in the Lord his God” and inquired about whether to pursue the abductors. God’s answer was “pursue”, and included a promise that “you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all” (verses 6-8).

So the Word of God informs us that searching for these young men was a just and upright cause. And although it was much too late to rescue them, we have to pray and believe that tragedies like will not happen again.

Hamas and other terrorist groups are constantly trying to kidnap Israelis to either murder them or hold them for ransom to free Palestinians convicted of murder and other violent crimes. Thankfully, the majority of such attempts have been thwarted. But the terrorists view the seizure and death of these yeshiva students as a successful operation, which means Israel has to raise its guard higher and find a way to deter it from happening again.

So join us every Wednesday in July in earnest prayer before the Lord God to watch over the people of Israel as they stand on the front lines every day in the battle against Islamic terrorism.

We invite you to join this global movement of prayer by using our monthly prayer points whenever you pray corporately or individually. Also, join with us in prayer and fasting on the first Wednesday of every month as intercession resounds around the globe throughout the day.

Today and during the month of July, we ask that you pray with us for the families and close friends of Gilad, Naftali and Eyal as they mourn their loss at the hand of terrorists.

1. Pray for the families and close friends of the three slain Israeli yeshiva students Gilad, Eyal and Naftali, for courage, strength, comfort and abiding faith in God during this time of loss and mourning.

2. Pray for Israel's leaders as they deliberate on what courses of action to take to defend the nation from terrorism and deter Israel's enemies from trying to strike again in this same cruel manner.

3. Pray for the Israeli security forces and police authorities as they maintain a constant vigil against such evil and violence.

4. Pray for the capture of those involved in this kidnapping operation, both those who ordered and planned it and those who carried it out.

5. Pray that the Palestinian people will finally choose the path of peace with Israel. Pray that Israel's enemies would repent from their hatred and violence and would open their hearts to the Lord God.

Thank you for your prayers!

Prayer Points

ViestiKirjoittaja Annukka » 19.07.2014 07:31

Gaza Land Operation
Shortly after this last and broadest attack, at 10:40 PM, Prime Minister
Netanyahu gave the order and Israel launched its long delayed ground
offensive. Its goal is to destroy the underground tunnels and terrorist
infrastructure that enables the ongoing attacks against Israel. From
land, sea and air, shells rained down upon Gaza. Shortly after, 48,000
troops that had been gathered on the border started to move into the
Coastal strip.

As this began, I stepped outside of our house into the garden to pray.
The night air was filled with the sound of explosions. Not very far
away, Israel's sons and daughters were once again fighting a war that
they did not want. In Gaza, the lights went out and the entire area was
plunged into darkness, lit only by the bursting shells and flares that
burned above their city. There too, people were running for cover. They
are paying a terrible price for a demonic leadership that is so willing
to sacrifice them on the altar of their hatred for Israel.

The War has entered the next phase. Even as Israeli troops were entering
Gaza, the order was issued to call up another 18,000 reserve troops.
Across Israel on the eve of this Sabbath, more husbands and fathers are
leaving their families to fight the enemies of Israel. There will be no
"Sabbath Peace" in the land of Israel tonight.

Prayer Points
This is a critical moment and we ask you to please join us in prayer.
Thousands of Israeli men are in danger as they enter the Gaza Strip.

o Pray for God's protection on each one of them and on this nation battling
to defend itself. Last night shells fired from Syria fell on the Golan
Heights. Pray that the war does not expand to other fronts. Our borders
are surrounded by those who hate us.

o Pray for clarity and wisdom for Prime Minister Netanyahu and all those
in government, the commanders of the army, the local military commanders
and each and every soldier on the ground.

o Pray against "friendly fire" accidents. This battle is being fought in
very close and crowded conditions. There were reports that one soldier
was killed already due to "friendly fire".

o Pray that the lie of Islam which binds so many hearts in the Middle East
would be exposed as this battle rages on the ground.

o Pray for the families who have lost loved ones in the airliner that was
shot out of the sky by separatist rebels in the Ukraine. This is another
highly volatile situation and highlights the danger of terrorist groups
gaining access to advanced weapons.
