Palestinians Celebrate Vehicular Terror, Declare 'Car Intifada'

Following two incidents of vehicular terror in and around Jerusalem on Wednesday, Palestinians took to Facebook and other online social media to celebrate what they have dubbed the “Car Intifada.”

“From Palestine we brought to the world the intifada of stones. Now we are bringing from Palestine the intifada of running over (or trampling),” read a message on one popular Palestinian Facebook page.

One Israeli was killed and 13 others wounded when a Palestinian resident of Jerusalem rammed into a group of people waiting at a light rail station on the eastern side of the city around noon on Wednesday. Hours later, another Palestinian motorist slammed into and injured three Israeli soldier on a road south of the capital.

Last month, two Israelis, including a three-month-old baby, were killed and many others wounded in another ramming attack at a Jerusalem light rail station.

The vehicular attacks are just one part of an escalating campaign of violence in Jerusalem that increasingly angered Jewish residents are blaming on lack of action by the government and police.

“We are now paying the price for a lack of policy and decision-making,” former Jerusalem Police Chief Aryeh Amit told Arutz Sheva. “The Temple Mount is not in our hands and eastern Jerusalem is not under our control. …The Jewish residents of Jerusalem are scared to death. This is reminiscent of the days of the suicide bombings.”

Israeli authorities have traditionally been wary of taking strong punitive action against Palestinian rioters for fear of eliciting condemnation from the international community.

But, by downplaying the riots of the summer, Jewish residents say the government has now opened the door to a new wave of terrorism that, as the Palestinian Facebook posts indicate, is being eagerly embraced by young Arabs.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, meanwhile, is blaming the dangerous phenomenon on ongoing anti-Israel incitement by the regime of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Abbas, for his part, is all but ignoring the Palestinian violence and accusing Israel of unilateral provocation.

Abbas’ state-run media has deemed the ramming attacks to be mere “traffic accidents,” even though the family of the terrorist who perpetrated Wednesday’s attack in Jerusalem praised his violent actions.

In light of Israel’s response to the attacks and mounting tension over the Temple Mount, the Palestinian Authority has called on the United Nations to “adopt a position to call on the Israeli government to stop all these activities and policies of provocation and incitement.”

Reactions to terror attacks in Jerusalem vary

Meeting of Palestinian political leaders (Illustrative) Fallout from vehicular terrorist attacks against Israelis in Jerusalem and the West Bank was swift on Wednesday, with the Palestinian Authority's official Wafa news service issuing a headline that "Israel Police Shoots, Kills Jerusalemite upon Car Crash." However, later in the day the wife and son of terrorist Ibrahim al-Aqari told a Palestinian news agency that they were proud of him for carrying out the "martyrdom" attack. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement blaming Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas for the attacks. "Peace will come when Abu Mazen stops calling Jews 'defilers' and he stops embracing murderers," Netanyahu said. "Genuine peace will come when the squares in Ramallah and Gaza named after terrorists and those considered martyrs will be filled with protesters calling for the abandonment of terrorism." Read More

Exploding Violence

Exploding Violence
by Eddie Santoro

It's an all too familiar pattern. Hate crazed Islamic terrorists who love killing Israelis more than they love their lives, doing everything and anything to terrorize the residents of Jerusalem. Over the years of our sojourn in Israel, we have lived through many waves of satanic hatred.

The first intifada (Palestinian uprising) from 1987-1991 predated our arrival here. The second intifada occurred over the years 2000- 2005. Over this time, thousands of innocent Israelis and Palestinians were killed and wounded. We remember all too well the suicide bombers exploding themselves in crowded buses, shopping malls, restaurants and almost anywhere Israeli civilians gathered. Although the intifada ended, individual terrorist incidences have continued to occur at different times and places.

Lately, with the increase of violence in the city of Jerusalem, another intifada is threatening to explode.

Yesterday afternoon Ibrahim al-Akary, a 48 year old father of five became a murderer when he plowed his van into one of the light rail stations filled with pedestrians. One Druze resident of Jerusalem died and eleven other Israelis were wounded, three critically. This attack was a copy of an event that occurred just last week in which a three month old baby lost her life as a result of a vehicle terror attack at another light rail station. Both terrorist drivers were killed by security forces.

Last night, just a few hours after the pedestrian attack, three soldiers standing on the side of a road were run down by another terrorist driver. All three were wounded, one seriously. This time the alleged driver surrendered to security forces in the midst of a massive manhunt.

In all of these incidences, the terrorist murderers were immediately exalted as "martyrs and heroes" by the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. Each of their funerals led to widespread rioting in the eastern neighborhoods of Jerusalem. Hamas representatives were heard on news reports encouraging the youth of East Jerusalem to execute more vehicle attacks.

The Temple Mount

Added to this volatile mix has been the ongoing violence surrounding the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site and the location of the Al Aska Mosque. This has become another "flash point" since the attempted assassination of Rabbi Yehuda Glick, a leading proponent of the right of Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. He was shot four times by a terrorist on a motorcycle last week and is currently recovering from his life threatening wounds.

Since then, young Palestinians have been gathering nightly to riot and carry out unprovoked attacks against Israeli police. Israel's closure of the Temple Mount last week for security resons and a brief incursion into the Al Aska Mosque in pursuit of rioters has been exagerated by the Muslim world as an attempt by Israel to prevent access to Muslims and ultimately to destroy the Al Aska Mosque.

In response to these allegations, the entire Arab world is in an uproar. Jordan has recalled its ambassador from Israel and is calling for a special hearing at the UN to investigate Israel's alleged "atrocities against the innocent Palestinian victims".

This current unrest is being proclaimed by Jihadists as the final battle for Islam's all important and holy city of Jerusalem. In truth, the city of Jerusalem is mentioned 622 times in the Hebrew scriptures but never mentioned in the Koran.

Truly, we are living in the days when the lie is exalted as truth and evil is seen as good.

Prayer Points

In all of this, we ask you to pray that God would protect Israel and show his wrath against those who seek to destroy his beloved nation and people.

Pray that this wave of violence would be stopped and not escalate into a third intifada

Pray that the government would have wisdom on how to respond and stop the murder of innocent people

Pray that the power of the lie would be broken and that leaders, particularly those in the West would see and proclaim the truth

Pray against the spirit of jihadist Islam that is raising such havoc and darkness upon the entire planet

Pray for the salvation of the Palestinian people and the multitudes of Moslems around the world who have been swept up in its satanic wave of hatred and darkness

Though the battle is raging around us, the growing waves of darkness do not discourage us. In all of these struggles, we know that the surpassing power of prayer, joined with the authority and power of the resurrection of Yeshua will accomplish all of God's wonderful purposes. We earnestly thank you for standing with us. Your prayers empower us, your love encourages us and your generosity has made our wonderful history possible. May the God of all grace bless you and all those that you love.

Iran Nuclear Threat 'Five Times' Greater Than Previously Thought

Iran could possess five times more advanced uranium centrifuges, says former IAEA deputy chief.

The Iranian regime could have five times more advanced centrifuges capable of producing nuclear weapons-grade uranium than previously thought, according to a report in The Sunday Times.

As world powers prepare for renewed talks with Iran over its nuclear program, and only two weeks before the November 24 deadline to reach a deal, the former deputy head of the International Atomic Energy Association told the paper that while Iran has admitted to possessing 1,008 advanced IR-2m centrifuges, the real number could be as high as 5,000.

Iran "could have up to 4,000 to 5,000 centrifuges or raw materials for them" in locations other than its two major nuclear plants in Natanz and Fordow, where international agencies have focused their attention, said Olli Heinonen.

He said any agreement between the P5+1 powers and Iran should include IAEA access to all other nuclear plants as well, arguing that any other arrangement would "make no sense."

"They have manufactured 1000 IR-2m centrifuges that the IAEA is aware of and the negotiations with the US are going to focus only on the known 1000 IR-2m and 18,000 IR-1 and not the additional centrifuges," he noted. IR-2m centrifuges are five times more powerful than the older IR-1 model.

"There are indications Iran has acquired carbon fibre, the key raw material for the advanced IR-2m centrifuges, to manufacture several thousand. The IAEA has seen 1000 of them in Natanz and the key question is: where are the rest?" asked Heinonen, a senior fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Centre for Science and International Affairs.

"It is important to have in this verification scheme an agreement that the IAEA can also verify all the centrifuges in Iran and not only those which are in Natanz or Fordow.

"And when I say all, I mean all the things that have been manufactured there — whether it’s in a warehouse, whether it’s in storage, whether it’s installed somewhere else."

"Iran needs to comply and provide the IAEA with the information and access so that the IAEA can do it… if they don’t get this authority then I don’t think it will be a good agreement."

The alarming news comes just two days after an IAEA report said Iran is failing to answer key questions over its nuclear program, further raising suspicions that the entire negotiations process is being used as a smokescreen to by Tehran more time to develop nuclear weapons capabilities.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says Iran is complying with an agreement to curb uranium enrichment, but also notes it has made no progress in its investigation into possible military dimensions of the program.

Despite assurances it is confident of reaching a deal on November 24, Iran, has been toughening its stance in recent weeks. Araqchi recently said he sees no prospect for a deal unless the other side abandons its “illogical excessive demands”.

A senior Iranian official followed those comments by declaring that Iran will demand that all Western sanctions be lifted as part of a final deal, rejecting an American proposal of a gradual lifting of sanctions.

US Secretary of State John Kerry said Wednesday that the negotiations would get more difficult if the November 24 deadline were missed, and the powers were not - for now - weighing any extension to the talks.

Why Abbas Will Not Condemn Terror Attacks

by Khaled Abu Toameh • November 12, 2014 at 5:00 am

Secretary of State Kerry's "peace process" actually put Israelis and Palestinians on a new collision course.

Not a single Palestinian Authority official has denounced the wave of terror attacks on Israel. They, too, are afraid of being condemned by their people for denouncing "heroic operations" such as ramming a car into a three-month old infant.

Kerry and other Western leaders do not want to understand that Abbas is not authorized to make any concessions for peace with Israel. For Abbas, it is more convenient to be criticized by the U.S. and Israel than to be denounced by his own people. Ignoring these facts, Kerry tried to pressure Abbas into making concessions that would have turned the Palestinian Authority president into a "traitor" in the eyes of his people. Abbas knows that the people he has radicalized would turn against him if he dared to speak out against the killing of Jews.

Victims of what official Palestinian Authority media organs call "heroic operations": Left, Dalia Lamkus, 26, run over and then stabbed to death by a terrorist on Nov. 10. Right: Three-month-old Chaya Zissel Braun, murdered on Oct. 23 when a terrorist rammed a car into her stroller. Several other victims were killed or injured in these attacks.

The recent spate of terror attacks in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and the West Bank did not come as a surprise to those who have been following the ongoing incitement campaign waged by Palestinians against Israel.

This campaign escalated immediately after U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's last failed "peace process" between Israel and the Palestinians. Kerry's "peace process" actually put Israelis and Palestinians on a new collision course, which reached its peak with the recent terror attacks on Israelis.

Kerry failed to acknowledge that Palestinian Authority [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas does not have a mandate from his people to negotiate, let alone sign, any agreement with Israel. Abbas is now in the tenth year of his four-year term in office.
